INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. On seat coves with separate back and bottoms, start with bottom portion of seat covers.

2. Attach supplied hooks on each strap and pinch with pliers to secure strap.

3. Line up seat cover bottoms on correct portion of seats. Pull towards back so that the seams on the seat cover line up with the seams on the seat.

4. Push the straps through the space between seat back and the seat bottom and attach to the underside of the seat. Do not hook them to the seat control wires or the fixed frame of the seat.

For Backrests without separate Headrests:

5. Slip backrest of the seat cover over the backrest of the seat and pull down tight over the seat.  Always pull on seat cover material not on the stretch fabric.

6. Push material Flap with straps on bottom of backrest cover between seat back and bottom. These straps go up the back of the seat and hook to the straps on the inside, at top of the seat cover. These straps should be hidden behind the stretch material back.

Note: Hooking the backrest to itself allows the seat backs to move forward or back without wrinkling. It also gives a neater look (by hiding the flap) from the back of the seat.

For Backrests with Moveable Headrests:

Seat Backrests:

1.  Remove Headrests.
 A. On non-removable headrests the seat cover will have Velcro at the top.

 B. For GM/Chevy seats:

  • Where the headrest post goes into the seat there is a plastic cap.
  • Push a small nail or heavy paper clip into hole and pull up to release headrest.

 C. Ford Headrest removal:

  • On the driver's side post grommet there is a little plastic tip sticking up on the inner side of the grommet. On the passenger side post grommet, outer side, there is a little flush button that looks like part of the grommet. Press the tip on the outer grommet in, while at the same time using a small screw driver to press in on the flush button on the opposite post. Both must be pressed at the same time. There is sufficient room to allow the fist to push upward and release the headrest posts from their notched stops.

2. Follow steps 5 & 6 above.

It may be necessary to cut small holes in the seat covers for the headrest posts. To do this, feel for the holes on top of the backrest through the seat covers. Lift the material from the seat and cut a small hole with sharp knife just enough for the headrest post to slide through. Then put the headrest back in.  Do not poke through the cover while it is against the seat.

Headrest Cover Installation:

The best way to install headrest covers is to have the headrests in the seat. Before slipping on the headrest covers, make sure they are facing the right way. To do this put both hands in the headrest cover and compare it with the headrest on your seat to see the correct way it goes on.  Headrest covers are usually tight for a great fit. Slip one side of the headrest cover over one side of the headrest. Then slip the other side of the headrest cover over the top of the headrest and pull all the way down. As you do this, squeeze the foam of the headrest in with your hands to accommodate stretching the fabric over the headrest.

Caution:

A sudden release of the hook attached to fastening straps can cause serious eye damage. Look for the hook up spot and then move your head away from the line of sight when pulling and attaching straps. Safety glasses should be used while installing.

These seat covers should be hand washed in mild soap and warm water. Hang to dry.

Note: Purchaser assumes responsibility when cleaning.
